It's Baaaaaaaaaaaaack.

Blouse: Thrifted
Shorts: Dailylook
Tights: Target
Oxford Heels: Payless
Lips: Nyx's round lipstick"Decadent"

Yes, it looks like winter outside, and my outfit looks like fall. Yes, it is April 15th. Yes, it was 70 degrees yesterday. But Ohio is a troll. And just when you think spring has arrived..............this state throws you with 3-4 inches of snow. And yes, it stuck. -__-

I really wish I was a more consistent blogger and would have had pictures of the last few days! Then you could really see the contrast. But alas, it has been a month since I posted, and it was snowy on March 12 (the last time I posted) as well.

I've been extremely busy lately. After spring break all of the final projects were poured onto us. There's only 4 weeks of classes left, but man, are these 4 weeks going to be tough. I have a final project in Fashion Visuals due in 2 weeks that my group and I haven't even started yet, on top of the design journal for the same class. I have the final portfolio of Foundations of Fashion Drawing due soon. And we still have another whole sewing project to do in Basics of Apparel Construction. *sigh* Just gotta buckle down and muscle through it I guess!

Do you know why snow is white?

This past weekend I went to Ohayocon in Columbus with the KSU Anime Society.  I love love love anime, manga, and Japanese culture. I am a true nerd and proud of it. :3

The outfit you see me in above is the cosplay I made for the convention. I went as C.C. (pronounced like C2 and not Cici)  from my absolute favorite anime, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion. It was my first cosplay, and I am SO proud of how it turned out. I bought the white shorts for $5 at Charlotte Russe, I made the arm warmers out of an old pair of plain black leg warmers, the boots were black and I spray painted them white and used gold acrylic for the decorations. And the main part, the top with flowing "tails", was just a plain black long sleeved turtleneck. I completely altered it and made it C.C.'s Black Knights uniform. At the con I had countless people ask me for pictures and 5 people ask for a hug. It let me know that I did well on this costume, which meant a lot because I worked on it over the course of my whole winter break. <3

I'm going to make another blog post with actual pictures from the con, so I don't want to talk too much about it, but I will say that it was one of the best weekends I've ever had! I was surrounded by so much positivity and energy and by all the things I love so much! I even got to meet someone I've been waiting to meet since I was 12: my favorite voice actor, Vic Mignogna! :D (And I got his autograph!)
I desperately want to go again next year, and I really want to go to Colossalcon in Sandusky this June. Maybe it will happen. Who knows?

Stay tuned for pictures from Ohayocon!

Owl Always Be Here

Sweater and Leggings: Gabriel Brothers
Snow Boots: Sears

I have been nonstop busy since I got back from college! There's so much to do before Christmas, and so many people to see.
I saw my oldest, and one of my two closest, friends today. We've been friends since I was eight, and she lives right down the road. She goes to college in Pittsburgh, so ever since August, we've seen very little of each other. It's really weird after how many years we've been just a short, 2 minute walk from one another. So tonight I went to her house and we caught up. She's not enjoying college at all. She likes her classes, but is not enjoying the social/personal aspects, mostly due to people and drama. I feel really bad for her. And I thought I was the one that wasn't enjoying college the way I should be.

I'm really glad I got to hang out with her and catch up though, along with Ashley, another one of our friends. We watched Footloose (the newer one) and talked and ate popcorn. (: It wasn't anything super special, but I preferred it that way. It was just like old times. We're going to get together a couple more times over break. I've missed her a lot.

I guess I don't have a lot to say tonight. It's 2:00 AM, so I should really be sleeping, but I have a lot on my mind right now. Not all bad though. Just a lot.

The cold never bothered me anyway.

Can we please just talk about this movie? >>>>

So this is not a fashion post. I'm not even pictured in this post. But guess who is? The wonderfully gorgeous ELSA!!!

I went to see Disney's Frozen this past Saturday and oh. my. gosh. It was breathtaking! I have been stalking this movie since I first saw the preview with Olaf (the snowman) and Sven (the reindeer) back in July or August. The Snow Queen is a tale by Hans Christian Anderson, and is one of my favorite fairytales ever. The character Elsa is loosely based on the Snow Queen, so I knew I HAD to see this movie. Now Frozen does not actually follow the storyline of Anderson's original story at all (Kai and Gerda aren't even characters in Frozen), but it doesn't matter one bit.
The movie was INCREDIBLE! Anything, and I mean anything, that has to do with snow and/or ice magic makes me swoon a little inside. Ice magic is my ideal power in a fantasy realm.

My favorite Disney princess has been Pocahontas for as long as I can remember (with Ariel and Belle tied as close seconds), but after all these years, I officially have a new favorite princess. Or should I say queen? The beautiful Elsa completely captivated my heart, and has stolen the spot for my #1 favorite Disney character. And that is no easy feat, believe me.

I don't want to spoil anything for anyone who hasn't seen the movie yet, but if you haven't seen it, I HIGHLY recommend it! It is one of the best movies I have personally seen in a long time. I love how Disney continually brings out the child in me. <3 (As if I don't like countless childish things. lol) But Disney seems to do it for everyone. Almost everyone can embrace the magic of Disney and say hello to their inner child. Don't you think so?
