A Slacking New Blogger

Shirt, Jeans, Boots, Bracelets: Wet Seal
Earrings: Icing
Necklace: Gift from my boyfriend
Lips: Mark's "Ice Princess" (one of my favorite lip products)

It has been over a week since my "end of 2013" post. I am such a slacker when it comes to this blog! I really need to get into a better routine so that I can post more consistently. I take pictures, but then I never get around to uploading and posting them. Take the pictures above, for example. I took these over almost 2 weeks ago! But am just now posting them. *sigh* I promise I'm going to try and get into the groove of blogging! That's one of my resolutions for 2014.

The outfit above is actually one of my favorite outfits ever. That shirt is my favorite clothing piece I own. The color, the sparkles, the deer, the fair isle print, and did I mention the SPARKLES?! I can't get enough of it. And even though it is truthfully more of a holiday shirt, I will were it all through January with pride!

I just finished my first week of the new semester, but I'll talk more about that later. It's been really stressful, mostly because of money. Between books and the endless lists of supplies that fashion design classes demand, I am going to be pretty broke for the next few months. x__x

The Eve of Christmas Eve

Sweater, Boots, Jeans: Wet Seal
Necklace and Earrings: Icing

Hey guys, guess what? Tonight is Christmas Eve Eve!! :D haha

Today has been a mixed sort of day. I was incredibly stressed out this morning because I was cramming so much into today. (And one of those things was paying my spring tuition bill. Writing a check for $6k is not an enjoyable experience. -__-)
But afterwards I went to an ice arena with a group of my friends. My friend, Emily, who lives in North Carolina is in town, and ice skating is what she wanted to do. I can't exactly say how I felt about it. I had never gone ice skating before, and I am one of the least graceful people I know. I basically hobbled around with my arms flailing. lol But I'm glad I can say I've had the experience now, and that I spent the time with close friends. <3 That is what's most important: making memories with people who mean a lot to you. We all came back to my house for hot cocoa afterwards and watched Jim Carrey's How the Grinch Stole Christmas (my personal favorite Christmas movie).

So all in all, the day ended up being a really enjoyable one, despite the rocky start. I can't wait for the festivities that begin tomorrow! But I still have a few more gifts to wrap, so i guess I better get off the computer! Ta ta for now!

Owl Always Be Here

Sweater and Leggings: Gabriel Brothers
Snow Boots: Sears
Ear Cuff: Icing
Lipstick: Nyx Black Label Lipstick in "India"

I have been nonstop busy since I got back from college! There's so much to do before Christmas, and so many people to see.
I saw my oldest, and one of my two closest, friends today. We've been friends since I was eight, and she lives right down the road. She goes to college in Pittsburgh, so ever since August, we've seen very little of each other. It's really weird after how many years we've been just a short, 2 minute walk from one another. So tonight I went to her house and we caught up. She's not enjoying college at all. She likes her classes, but is not enjoying the social/personal aspects, mostly due to people and drama. I feel really bad for her. And I thought I was the one that wasn't enjoying college the way I should be.

I'm really glad I got to hang out with her and catch up though, along with Ashley, another one of our friends. We watched Footloose (the newer one) and talked and ate popcorn. (: It wasn't anything super special, but I preferred it that way. It was just like old times. We're going to get together a couple more times over break. I've missed her a lot.

I guess I don't have a lot to say tonight. It's 2:00 AM, so I should really be sleeping, but I have a lot on my mind right now. Not all bad though. Just a lot.

A black swan in fair isle

Cardigan: Wet Seal
Tutu Tank Dress: thrifted
Fair Isle Tights: Forever 21
Booties: TJ Maxx (Steve Madden)
Necklace: Body Central

The snow is back guys!!! (As if that isn't evident in my photos. haha)
This outfit was featured in one of my past Youtube videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nc7h073jbrM&list=PL8AF6E2BBB302D66B&index=5

So I've been thinking lately about what my resolution should be for 2014. I know one of them is definitely to get a job. I'm 19 years old, and I've never had a job. I simply never had need of one in high school. I didn't feel like I needed money that badly. Plus, my parents had the mentality of "You have your whole life to work. Just enjoy being a teenager."
I'm a freshman in college now, but I didn't get a job for fall semester because I wanted to get used to college life and what it had in store for me. I would like to get one for spring semester (preferably on campus), but so far have had no luck when searching. I know I absolutely have to get a summer job though. I'm getting older, and I can't continue having no experience, especially as a fashion major. But I'm so new to the job scene that I hardly know where to start when looking for one. >_<

That's just some of my thoughts. Do any of you feel like this? Are/were any of you older when you got your first job? I'm just nervous about finding one.

Now on a fashion related note, I have a small story about that ruffled cardigan in my photos. I got it for free. xD How you ask? I have no idea. lol I ordered it during a "Free shipping on clearance" sale on their site. It was $10. I ordered it and a necklace, but when they billed me it said $0.00. I was like, "Huh?" o.O But even on the credit card bill it said $0.00. So I guess it was just lucky me! They forgot to actually charge for it. xD haha

And for today, that is all.

Autumn is Ending

Shirt: Hot Topic
Pants: Body Central
Boots: Thrifted
Necklace: Handmade (craft show)
Earrings: Handmade (craft show)

I made a video with this outfit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78Y1DGHS-W4

Well, autumn, my favorite season, is officially coming to a close (says the piles of snow outside). So to commemorate another bittersweet autumn ending, I am uploading these fall photos. They were taken at the Algonquin Mill Festival this past October. Going to this autumn festival has been a tradition in my family for as long as I can remember. It is by far one of my favorite traditions. I love the countryside and all the old fashioned crafts and food.
(The car photos were demanded by my dad. lol He just wanted the pictures of the cars. :p I was just an excuse to get them.)

Now, despite the fact that I love autumn dearly, I am very ready for the Christmas season. (Already started with the Christmas carols. ;) haha) Thanksgiving is this Thursday, and the next day marks another year of Black Friday antics! I'm really excited!
October through December marks my favorite part of the year~! We have my favorite season and BOTH my favorite holidays! I just get so giddy!

Oh, and on a completely unrelated note, somebody in the 12:30 Fabrics class dropped, so I nabbed their spot! I'm so happy! That means I don't have to go to evening classes FOUR days a week. Instead, just Monday and Wednesday. What can I say guys? It has been an amazing day!
So glad I got out of the funk from my last entry and was able to post something positive!
