The cold never bothered me....... but the warmth is nice too.

Dress and Bracelets: Wet Seal
Sparkly Heels: Payless
Scarf: Christmas present from Joshua
This outfit reminds me of something Elsa (from Disney's Frozen) would wear when it is warm. The icy silvers and blues still give a nod to her wintery powers, but the lack of sleeves and short skirt make it warm weather appropriate. 'Cause I mean, if she's able to wear that less than cozy looking gown in a palace made of ice on top of a snowy mountain.......then the heat must really difficult to handle.

But honestly, can we talk about that scarf. Isn't it gorgeous? It's the piece that inspired me to create this ensemble. It was a Christmas present from Joshua (my boyfriend) that I hadn't yet gotten to wear. I'm so glad I was finally able to coordinate it. As soon as I opened it on Christmas Eve it instantly reminded me of ice. I adore it. <3

In life news, I am moving out of my dorm today. I had a final at 7:45 this morning, but now I'm done. It's really weird. Next year I'll be commuting, so I won't ever see this room again. Nor will I be on campus nearly as much. I was never a huge fan of dorm life, but there are a few things I'm going to miss. Like walking downtown on a whim when it's warm. Or being able to run to Prentice to grab a coffee before (or after) class. I admit, I'm kind of sad.
But the choice to commute was one I thought about extensively. I live 40 minutes away, which isn't a great commuting distance, but it's not awful either. Some people drive an hour or more just to go to work each day. And financially....this is the best choice. My roommate, who is my best friend from high school, also chose to commute. And of the 2 girls that I'm actually kind of close to, one is not returning to this college and the other is living in an apartment now....

I guess this is just a start of another year in my life. I don't know what awaits me in my future. I don't feel like an adult. But I hope that I will be able to move forward and start to follow my heart.

Thanksgiving Break

Shirt and Necklace: Hot Topic
Jeans: Wet Seal
Flats: Sears

So I've realized that the last 3 posts I've made (including this one) have been posted on a Monday and have included a piece of Disney apparel! xD How ironic. I guess it's no surprise to say that I'm a Disney nerd. There are very few Disney movies I can say I truly dislike. (The only ones I can think of that I don't like are Pinocchio and Cars.) But Peter Pan was and still is one of my favorites. And nobody can not like that adorable, sassy little pixie!! <3

However, I cannot allow myself to go off on a Disney tangent. Let's talk about Thanksgiving!
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving if you are here in America! Mine was definitely wonderful. It wasn't at my great aunt's house like it has been every year in the past. We held Thanksgiving at a small dining hall because this year the entire extended family came, and nobody had the room to host everybody! It actually turned out really nice. It wasn't your typical "dining hall". It had a kitchen, a dining area, and a flat screen TV so the guys could watch football. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it was cozy and I'm so glad I got to spend time and play games with my family. And all my little cousins running around made me feel so fuzzy inside. x3
Home is most definitely where the heart is. I'm so happy when I get to go home. I'm only 45 minutes away, and I go home often, but I love it every time. It's where I'm happiest, despite how awesome my college is. I can't wait to go back and spend Christmas and winter break with my family. <3

That's all for today everyone!

(P.S. I brought in an awesome haul from Black Friday too! ;) It's tradition for my family, my friend Adrienne, and I to go up to Southern Park mall on Black Friday. Ahh, shopping. Excellent.)

Autumn is Ending

Shirt: Hot Topic
Pants: Body Central
Boots: Thrifted
Necklace: Handmade (craft show)
Earrings: Handmade (craft show)

I made a video with this outfit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78Y1DGHS-W4

Well, autumn, my favorite season, is officially coming to a close (says the piles of snow outside). So to commemorate another bittersweet autumn ending, I am uploading these fall photos. They were taken at the Algonquin Mill Festival this past October. Going to this autumn festival has been a tradition in my family for as long as I can remember. It is by far one of my favorite traditions. I love the countryside and all the old fashioned crafts and food.
(The car photos were demanded by my dad. lol He just wanted the pictures of the cars. :p I was just an excuse to get them.)

Now, despite the fact that I love autumn dearly, I am very ready for the Christmas season. (Already started with the Christmas carols. ;) haha) Thanksgiving is this Thursday, and the next day marks another year of Black Friday antics! I'm really excited!
October through December marks my favorite part of the year~! We have my favorite season and BOTH my favorite holidays! I just get so giddy!

Oh, and on a completely unrelated note, somebody in the 12:30 Fabrics class dropped, so I nabbed their spot! I'm so happy! That means I don't have to go to evening classes FOUR days a week. Instead, just Monday and Wednesday. What can I say guys? It has been an amazing day!
So glad I got out of the funk from my last entry and was able to post something positive!
